Other companies of the EBG group
The cooperation between CETECOM GmbH and EBG electro GmbH (EBG group) proves to be extremely successful: Currently, joint investigations on the installation and behavior of antennae in the frequency range for critical infrastructure of 450 MHz in cable distribution cabinets have been carried out.
CETECOM provides the prerequisite know-how for the determination of optimal radio characteristics for the installation of antennae in cable distribution cabinets. In addition, the space available and the protection against vandalism due to the installation in such a large number of cabinets have to be emphasized. The results of the study offer valuable added value for energy supply companies that would like to optimize their range of services in the future by means of a high-performance radio network.
With the help of intelligent load switching strips from the EBG group, network loads can be determined and faults detected. Cable distribution cabinets are also frequently used as communication hubs for reading smart meters, thus helping to advance the smart meter rollout. Radio transmission offers an interesting option for these applications as well.
