The EBG group is expanding – Welcome EBG eqs

We are enlarging the team: E-Q-Schaltanlagen from Dortmund becomes part of the EBG family and is now called EBG eqs.

EBG owner and managing director Dag Hagby emphasizes: “Our claim is not called ‘team made’ without reason. Now the team is a bit bigger and we are happy about the reinforcement.” The merger is a strategic move for the future for both companies. Dag Hagby: “We perceived EQS as a strong switchgear and control system manufacturer in the market, and we quickly realized that a merger of the two companies makes a lot of sense: thanks to the merger, we expand our portfolio and our locations in an optimal way. This will enable both parties to respond even better to market needs in the future.” The acquisition of EBG eqs is a building block in EBG group’s growth strategy for the coming years: by 2025, we want to expand into new, primarily European, markets. Dag Hagby: “It is important for us to break new ground in order to remain capable of acting as EBG in the long term. In doing so, we want to build on our successful past. This now also applies to EBG eqs and everything the company has achieved so far.”

EBG eqs Managing Director Sascha Bischoff is also looking forward to the future cooperation. “EBG eqs can bring its specialization in switchgear into the group and at the same time benefit from EBG products. We complement each other very well.” Bischoff also emphasizes that EBG eqs was not a victim of the Corona pandemic: “In 2020, we had tremendous growth and were able to surpass the pretty good fiscal year 2019.” But after more than 25 years in business, he says it was simply time to think about succession and the future, and to position itself even more securely.

For customers, partners and the workforce, little will change: jobs, contracts and responsibilities will remain unchanged. Existing projects will continue and both the offices and production halls as well as the contact persons will remain the same.
