“Impact of material supply shortages on medium-sized businesses”.

In the broadcast <Westpol> of the WDR channel dated Sunday, 14.11.2021, it was once again made clear which enormous effects interrupted supply chains currently have on the regional economy as well. Dag Hagby, managing partner of the EBG group in Lünen, board member of the Unternehmensverband Westfalen Mitte e.V. as well as member of the board of METALL NRW, was interviewed as a representative of a typical medium-sized business. Although the order situation is developing very well, production is being slowed down as a result of the massive supply and delivery bottlenecks. Shortages in steel, copper and plastics are leading to considerable additional administrative work and preventing the targeted growth.
